JAKLIC, Slava   - 1919 - 2021 In Loving Memory It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Slava Jaklic (nee Babic).

She died peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at (The Wenleigh Long Term Care Residence in Mississauga) at the age of 101 years.

Slava was born in the village of Bojanja Vas in Slovenia and immigrated with her family in 1959 to her beloved country, Canada.

Predeceased by her husband, Milan Jaklic (1997), brother, Alojz Babic and sister, Rose Grubich.

Survived by her loving daughters, Cvetka (Theresa) Pecaric (Martin deceased), Ivanka (Jane) Pecharich (Joe) and son, Milan Jaklic (Mary). Proud grandmother and great-grandmother of her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by friends and family for her zest of life and as a person having the grit to face and rise above adversity.

Mom, may the eternal rays of light shine upon you and the eternal wind be always at your back. Peace be with you.

We thank the management and the caring staff of The Wenleigh Long Term Care Residence for looking after our mother in her last few years; always treated with respect, attention and with compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Cancer Research Society or to charity of your choice.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions placed on social gatherings, no visitations will be held.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated with only family members in attendance at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 739 Brown's Line, Toronto, followed, by private interment service.
