Campbell BarryCAMPBELL, Barry “Baz” James - Passed away peacefully Thursday morning March 4, 2021 after a lengthy and brave battle with liver disease.

Barry met Kathy his wife of 48 years at the age of 16.

Barry moved to Toronto to attend Art College and Kathy followed three years later.

Barry and Kathy spent over 30 years on a quiet street in North Toronto where they raised Lindsay, Geoffrey and Matthew in the company of wonderful neighbours and friends.

Barry worked in Advertising for over 30 years. He will be remembered for his humility, passion and integrity.

Barry embraced his expanding family, welcoming with open arms Kipp, Lauren and Jessica. Barry’s true calling came in his role as Poppi, beloved grandfather to Campbell, Hayden, Penelope, Sloane and Tegan.

In the eyes of his 5 grandchildren, Poppi was an artist and a joker who never missed an opportunity to spend time with them whether the adventure consisted of a walk, a ride on the ttc or a drive to a hockey game.

Barry is best known for his ability to bring people in. He was able to see in others that which they often couldn’t see in themselves. His friends and family knew intimately of his sense of humour, kindness and ability to always find the good in any situation.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at Toronto General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Liver Foundation and The Toronto Humane Society.

Baz, Dad, Poppi we love you to the moon and back.
