KIEFER, Mira 'Maria' Theresa - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mira Kiefer on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Scarborough Centenary Hospital after a short illness.
Predeceased by her wonderful husband Hans, she will be greatly missed by her daughter Brigitte, beloved granddaughters Megan (Duncan) and Sarah (Jeff) and adored great grandchildren Duncan Kiefer and Violet Mira.
She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Mimi, nephew Robert (Sue) and many godchildren.
Mira will be remembered not only as a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother but as an amazing baker, gardener and busy member for years of the Danube Schwabian Ladies’ Auxiliary of Toronto.
As a family we would like to thank the staff at Centenary Hospital for their kindness during her three week stay.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Crossroads Clinic for Refugees at Women's College Hospital would be appreciated, in honour of her journey to Canada.
Due to pandemic restrictions, a celebration of life will be held later this year when conditions allow.
