RICCIARDI, Adamo - It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adamo Ricciardi. Surrounded by his loving family, Adamo passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021.
Adamo was a beloved husband to his wife Giulia (predeceased, 2015).
He was a devoted father to Michele (predeceased, 2020), Maria (Carmine Paolercio), Mirella (Frank Tauro), Josie, and Lily (Fernando Santos).
Proud grandfather of Cathy (John), Matthew (Andrina), Adam (Michelle), and Paulo. More recently, Adamo became a beloved great-grandfather to Thomas.
Adamo was born on October 11, 1934 in Rende, Calabria, Italy to Michele and Maria Ricciardi. He married the love of his life, Giulia, on September 28, 1957. Throughout their life together they created a beautiful family who will continue to carry on their legacy with pride. Adamo will be lovingly remembered by all of those he cherished dearly, including his many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family in Canada and Italy.
Adamo was known for his charming smile, generous heart, love of family and pure joy for life. His bravery, strength and determination were truly inspirational to us all and we will never forget the unwavering optimism he carried with him throughout his life.
We will always love and cherish you in our hearts, forever. Rest in eternal peace.
Visitation and the service will be at Bernardo Funeral Homes, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Saturday, April 10th, 2021. A private entombment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Canadian Cancer Society..
