AUCOTT, Barry - Barry passed away at home on March 29, 2021, at the age of 81. He was surrounded by the love of his family after a hard fight with Mesothelioma.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas Clifford and Edith; devoted and loving husband of 58 years to Brenda; proud father of Claire (Chris), Anne Marie, Ruth and Peter (Jennifer); beloved grandpa to Lauryn, Sophie, Katie, Declan, Cormac and Levi.
He will be sadly missed by his surviving sister Judith, cousins and friends in England, Canada and Cuba.
Barry was born and raised in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. He moved to Canada with his wife Brenda and three little girls to live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for 7 months. Barry then moved with his family into Ontario where his son was born.
Barry was a generous man. As an advocate for justice and peace he was happiest when helping others. A Probus member, a train lover, an avid reader, an animal lover, a traveler – never missing his yearly trips to England and Cuba.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the members of the Palliative Care Team whose help and support enabled Barry to remain at home during the last 3 months of his illness. Also a note of gratitude to Peel Paramedic Services and the staff at Brampton Civic Hospital.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Barry would be greatly appreciated.
