Stubbs TrudiSTUBBS, Trudi Arlene -  It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Trudi Arlene Stubbs, 67, of Etobicoke on March 30, 2021. Trudi passed away peacefully surrounded by love after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

When Trudi had her first child, she decided to dedicate her life to being a loving mother and continued to do so until her last days.

Trudi adored her children and grandchildren, supporting them through the many passions and challenges of their lives.

Trudi loved to cook and could often be found in the kitchen, cooking and baking, coffee in hand. This is where the most heartfelt conversations were had and many memories made. Trudi was well known for her extravagant holiday dinners and the best hamburgers in town! Family meals always brought us together from both near and far. When Trudi wasn’t filling her home with love and laughter, she could be found spending time outdoors by the lake or sipping tea in her garden.

She will always be remembered as our matriarch, a resilient and strong warrior who will be forever cherished and truly missed.

Trudi was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth and father Douglas. She is survived by her children Sandra, Brandi (Rikk), Christine and Cody, grandchildren Jesse (Pam), Damien, Chris (Amber), Ashley, Brian, (Kayla), Derrick, Jaedynne, Amy, Lauren, Danielle and great grandchildren Autumn (Ashley), and Ethan (Jesse).

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for close family and friends. Arrangements entrusted with Ridley funeral home, Etobicoke.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful support Trudi and her family received from her physicians throughout the course of her courageous battle.

Memorial donations can be made in Trudi’s honour to ovarian cancer research via The Canadian Cancer Society.
