Swift GodfreySWIFT, Godfrey Albert 'Swifty' - Godfrey Albert “Swifty” Swift, was born on September 20, 1944, and walked off into the sunset on April 2, 2021.

Godfrey was born in Brightons County, England, and was just two years old when he made Canada home.

It was here that he became a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1, and the Little Club, where he soon developed a love of playing darts, snooker, and card games.

There are so many cherished memories of trips to the trailer, camping trips, and road trips to Quebec. There were so many fun times of going up to ‘Rama to watch shows and concerts, going to the movies, going out dancing, go-carting, or hitting a few balls at the driving range, the golf green, or at mini-putt.

He will always be remembered for his warm hospitality; whenever you went to Godfrey’s house he would always offer you a cold beer, and share a laugh with you over a pint.

Godfrey is survived by his beloved partner and best friend Jacqueline, his siblings, many, many, many nieces and nephews, and many friends from the Legion.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Maud and Stanley, and his three brothers Ronald, Michael, and Peter. He will be deeply missed.

Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel.
