PARKER, Carol - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Carol Parker, on March 31, 2021, at the age 68.
Loving and devoted wife to Ian, and loving mother to Trevor and Allison.
Dear sister of Gail, Wendy, Roy, Barb, Cathy, and the late Gary.
Loving mother-in-law to Becky and Jeff. Carol loved the water.
She swam competitively in high school, swam lengths at the local Y and enjoyed the waters of Four Mile Lake.
She loved sailing with Allison, paddling by kayak or paddle board, boat rides around the lake and going on cruises with Ian. She treasured time at the cottage with family and cherished the friendships she created there.
Carol was an active volunteer and mentor at the Y for over 30 years where she led early morning fitness classes before heading off to work. Despite the pandemic, she continued leading classes via Zoom and regularly walked over 7 kilometres with her beloved Y "Posse".
The "Posse" and her extended Y family created a circle of care around Carol and her family throughout her illness.
