Earle BettyEARLE, Elizabeth 'Betty'- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on April 5, 2021 of Betty Earle, in her 98th year.

Betty Vining was born and raised in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, growing up on the bank of the St. Lawrence River. She met Arthur Earle when he was stationed in Trois Rivieres early in the Second World War.

They married in 1946, raised their family in Montreal, and enjoyed a wonderful union for 67 years until Arthur died in 2013.

Betty moved to Toronto in 2016 to be closer to her children and grandchildren, residing at Delmanor, Wynford, where she was loved and so well looked after.

Betty is remembered by her brother Edward (Francine), her children, Arthur (Cindy-Sue), Richard (Pamela), and Janet (Will); her grandchildren, Tod (Jennifer), Alexandra, Stephanie (Shaun), Jessica (Eric), Mallary (Robert), Kevin (Brianna), Shannon (David), Taylor (Elsa), Owen (Callie), and Noah; and her great-grandchildren, Lakeland, Britain, Nathaniel, Ray, Benson, Hadley, Berkeley, Zachary, Eloise, Hamilton, and Thomas.

Her family has many fond memories that were shaped by Betty, such as “Making Do” at the cottage, the annual Christmas candy house, teddy bears handmade with love for her children and grandchildren, running around town in her PT Cruiser well into her 90’s, and her strong sense of how things ‘ought’ to be done.

Both Betty and Arthur took great pleasure in bringing their family together to show their love and keen support for the younger generations.

A private funeral service will be live streamed from St. Paul’s Bloor Street on Tuesday, April 20th, followed by a shared time of reminiscence.

Memorial contributions to MADD Canada or Make-a-Wish Foundation of Canada will be gratefully received.
