Short KathleenSHORT, Kathleen Mary - (1956 - 2021) - It is with great sadness that I announce to you of the passing of my mother Kathleen Mary Short on April 6th, 2021.

My mom was a wonderful and loving woman. She worked hard and always lived her best life doing the things she loved.

She has left behind Pierce her husband, although they were no longer together he had become her very best friend. Always together to care and look after each other, they had a bond that was unbreakable and my mom loved him very much. Three sisters Phylliss (Gilles), Penny and Audrey (Ray) and three brothers Marvin (Baba), Michael and Johnny.

My mom was close with her sisters, she spent a great deal of time with both of them and they were always very close. Phylliss and my mom were not just sisters they were best friends, they went through the good times and the bad times, shared life’s joys and also life’s hard times but always managed to stay close and shared a love like no other. Gilles was a wonderful brother in law, always willing to lend a helping hand with what ever he could. He and my mom always shared good times and lots of laughs together. Penny and my mom were always there for each other and my mom always cared and loved her and made sure Penny was always well like a big sister should. Marvin and Baba shared many years of good times with her and she loved and cared for them both very much. She loved all her friends and extended family very much.

My mom was a hard worker her whole life, even when times and days were hard she pushed through. She was the most wonderful and loving mother I could have ever asked for. She loved me unconditionally and without judgement ever, she stood by me through life’s ups and downs and was always my rock. I love her more than anything in this world and feel blessed that she was my mom.

She always taught me to love and be kind to others, never take anything for granted cause you never know when it will be gone, be strong and always be there for the ones you love, your family are the most important people in this world. She taught me to always be a strong woman, be independent and always know how to take care of myself.

She was a loving and caring woman to all she knew, always thinking of others before herself. She told me that if she ever did anything right in her life, it was me. I was the best thing she could have ever have wished for in this life and I could have never asked for a better mother.

We were all blessed with the time we had with you. Your love has left its mark on all of us. Be in peace and always know I long for the day when we will be together again.

Arrangements entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Brampton chapel.
