Egan BillEGAN, William 'Bill' Joseph - It is with the heaviest heart that we announce the passing of William (Bill or Billy) Joseph Egan on April 11, 2021 at the age of 66 years.

Bill fiercely battled cancer for the past five years, constantly impressing us all with his strength, undergoing chemotherapy for the duration.

Bill will be remembered for his positivity, his love of his kids, his grandsons, his partner Judy, lacrosse, hockey, dancing, and 80’s hair bands. He absolutely loved coming to all our sporting events while we were growing up. He loved blaring loud music at the cottage and dancing all night long.

He showed us all to take pride in whatever work we did, working in the telecommunications industry for over 40 years. He was one of the most selfless humans you can imagine and would do anything for his family or friends. Bill always put his family and friends first, and if you didn’t know him yet, within 10 minutes he’d figure out who in your family he trained at Bell or played hockey with.

He will be deeply missed by his partner Judy; children, Cassandra (Andras), Robert (Rebecca), Jacquelyn (Derek), Emily, Dave, Will (Kirsten), Rachel (Marshall); grandchildren, Matthew, Rowan, Declan and Cooper; sisters Kate (Peter) and Julie; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and ‘family’ friends.

We are happy that your suffering is finally over, as we know you were going through it for us.

Our sincerest thanks to Dr. Chan, and the care workers of Lakeridge Health. He loved spoiling you with brownies and appreciated the wonderful care you provided.

We have concluded that with the Covid-19 lockdowns, there is not enough Budweiser in the Beer Store to handle a proper Celebration of Bill Egan’s life, so we will alert the beer factories of the date well in advance, sometime in the future when we can all gather together again.

We are all going to miss having Billy/Dad/Grampa around for all the big moments in life to come and the many phone calls and text messages we have become so used to. We are sure you are up there with your Mum, Dad, Matt and Bob; causing trouble and looking down on us with love.

Rest in Peace Papa Bill❤️
