Effah RoselineEFFAH, Roseline Akosua Okwaa Arhin - (February 28, 1956April 9, 2021)

The late Mrs. Roseline Akosua Okwaa Effah affectionately called “Awo” by her father, was born on 28th of February, 1956 to Opanin Samuel Kwame Amoama Effah of Begoro in the Eastern Region and Obaapanin Comfort Asabea Effah of Larteh Akuapem all of blessed memory. She was baptized into the Anglican Church in the year 31st May, 1956. Roseline was fourth among the six siblings and was the most loving and adorable child amongst them all.

The late Mrs. Effah started her education at Begoro Nursery School in 1960 and continued to Begoro Presbyterian Primary B in 1962. She later went to Begoro Presby Girls Middle School in the year 1968. In the year 1973, she attended Moses Commercial School at Koforidua where she studied typing. In 1974, she continued to Koforidua Secretariat School where she acquired a Certificate in Secretaryship.

The late Mrs. Effah after completion of her Secretariat course, met one Mr. Patrick Kwaku Arhin of blessed memory, whom she was wedded to in 1978 and subsequently relocated to Accra in hopes of starting a new life. The couple were blessed with their first child, Derek Kofi Arhin, in 1984.

In 1989, Roseline reunited with her husband Mr. Patrick Arhin in Canada, where they embarked on a new journey together in a new land. Being so passionate and dedicated to church activities at her tender age, she would always attend dawn services with her parents and eventually became one of the pioneers of the Young Women’s Fellowship during her middle school education. She was also very calm, respectful, quiet, hospitable, kind and very fashionable. Apart from the personal attributes, she was a netball player, an athlete, singing of hymns and enjoyed cooking as hobbies of which she would be remembered.

Mrs. Effah embarked on her journey in Canada, where she began her employment journey with Tilley Endurables Inc., in whom she dedicated 30 years of service to. In 1996, Roseline was blessed with another child, Phyllis Asabea Arhin.

As a devout Christian, Roseline was a member of the All Nations Full Gospel Church for a short period of time and then transitioned to the Ghanaian Presbyterian Church of Toronto thereafter. Roseline became a strong advocate and leader within the Ghanaian Presbyterian Church from its inception as a small group of believers to the now large congregation as we know today. As a member of the Ghanaian Presbyterian Church, Toronto Roseline was an Elder within the church and also participated in other roles, stemming from the Choir, Womens Fellowship and the Welfare Committee. She was always willing to help in any capacity, as long as it was for the good of the church and the work of the Lord. She was staunch advocate for charitable works, which is why she was always involved in food banks and food drives. Never missing a chance to push forward Christianity.

On Friday April 9, 2021, Mrs. Roseline Effah was promoted to Glory. MOTHER rest well and with your Lord Almighty MOTHER have a peaceful rest in the bossom of your Maker. MOTHER you will forever be remembered in our hearts.
