O'NEIL, Jean Marie McCallum - MD - On April 15, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by daffodils from her beloved garden.
Wife of Jim, (predeceased) mother of Peter (Carmel) and Mary (Stephen) grandmother of Erin, Rachel and Sienna.
Graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine, in 1951 she was one of only a handful of women in her class. She went on to pursue Psychiatry.
She practised medicine in Haliburton and Richmond Hill in the early days of their marriage and throughout her life she was a strong and devoted support to Jim in his ministry. They retired from St. John’s York Mills in 1989.
A passionate gardener, gourmet cook and a good listener. She had a genuine interest in the lives of others. Her kindness and generous spirit will be remembered by many.
There will be a private family graveside service.
