LYONS, Mary Theresa - It is with profound sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of Mary on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in her 98th year.
Mary is survived by her loving daughters Clare-Marie and Joanne, her son-in-law Bob and granddaughter Kathleen.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph, her parents Julia Kavanagh and Thomas Harold Worsdall, by her sister Nora Mckee(Arthur), brother George Worsdall(Mary) and sister Lucy McCarthy(Thad).
She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a wonderful wife and mother, a kind, gentle and giving woman who was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed her life and was very devoted to her family and loved animals, especially dogs.
Mary took up painting later in life and enjoyed it immensely. She was also a music lover, an accomplished scrabble player and avid reader. Mary had a good sense of humour and the ability to laugh at herself which created many happy family moments.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
