VELLA, Mary Patricia - November 16, 1933 – April 25, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Patricia Vella (nee Spiegelhalter) at the age of 87 at North York General Hospital on April 25, 2021 after a brief illness.
Daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Spiegelhalter. Sister to Helen (Peter) and the late William (Mary).
Beloved wife of loving husband Emanuel (Sam) Vella for almost 65 years, Mother to Catherine (Mark), Susan (Howard) and John (Elena).
Loving Grandmother to Melissa (Michael), Adam (Natasha) Andrew, Patrick, Julia, Emanuel and Eryka.
Great-Grandmother to Owen, Lucas, Brianna, Anthony and Ava.
Pat was born and raised in Mimico, Ontario and spent her entire life living in the Toronto area.
She watched proudly as her grandchildren grew into adults and her great-grandchildren ensured her lineage would carry on her spirit into the 22nd Century! Pat Vella - Lifelong loving partner to Sam, brilliant mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
A life very well lived. She will be dearly missed. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service has taken place.
