Almeida GlorianaALMEIDA, Gloriana - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Gloriana on April 24, 2021 at the age of 61 years.

Gloriana is now reunited in heaven with her dear parents Elisa De Graca and Marcelino Torres and brother Manuel Torres.

She was the loving wife of Joao. Cherished mother of Diane and her husband Vince Forgione, Brian Almeida and his wife Sara and Christopher Almeida and his girlfriend Michelle Lee. She will forever be the Avo of Mason and Jesse.

Gloriana met the love of her life Joao in Toronto in January 1978. They were married March 4, 1978 and lived a happy life together for 43 wonderful years. She had a passion for life and found a way to bring a little joy into the lives of everyone she encountered during her days with us.

She loved taking pictures (especially her famous selfies), so she can quietly re-live the precious moments. Or, better still, share them with others and enjoy a great laugh. Gloriana had many interest and passions but none more important to her than her family especially her grandsons. She enjoyed spending time doing crochet.

She loved flowers and could always be found tending to her flower garden. She always treated everyone with respect; compassion: and love! we are the ones who are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives!

Let's honour Gloriana's memory by living our lives as she did - kindness to each other; be compassionate to one another; and to always love each other!

Gloriana will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family, friends and all who knew her in Portugal and Canada. In loving memory of Gloriana, donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated by the family and can be made using the links above.

In light of the current global pandemic and the present restrictions, the visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only.

Funeral and livestream arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel.  The live stream will commence at 1:30 pm on Friday April 30 via the funeral home's website.
