TALSMA-WOUDSMA, Tjetje 'Jessie' (nee Straatsma) - Born June 21, 1928 in Frisian village of Rinsumageest, Netherlands. The fifth of 12 children to Andries and Sjoujke Straatsma.
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 5, 2021, in her 93rd year.
Predeceased by husband Sikke (Jack) Talsma (1976). Left to mourn her loss are husband Jake Woudsma, and 6 children – Marilyn (Ralph), Andrew (Hilda), Sonya (Fred), John, Ian (Sue), Terry (Lisa) – as well as 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Also, Mom’s brothers and sisters – (Maaike and Gerrit Steen), (Anne and Dirk Deweever), (Eeltje and Willy), (Yde) and Murkje, Fred and Ann, Agnes and (Dick) Wyga, Peter and Audrey, Carol and Hank Ufkes, Pat and Fred Jonker, Sonya and Ed Buisman, Audrey and Ron Vahrmeyer.
Mom will be remembered for her love for people, singing, sharp wit, and an unwavering faith in Jesus. We will miss her dearly, but appreciate that she is Home.
The funeral will be live streamed by Ward Funeral Homes, Brampton chapel on Tuesday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment to follow.
