Cleary DonnaCLEARY, Donna Marie (nee Digby) - Donna Marie Cleary (nee Digby) was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's and dementia on May 6, 2021 at age 70.

She was born in Belleville, Ontario on December 12, 1950. It was also in Belleville where she met and fell in love with her soulmate, Brian Cleary at 17 years old and last October they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

She is tremendously missed by her husband, daughters Laura (Steven Sims) and Jennifer (James Buczkowski), granddaughters Caitlin and Ava, and dogs Rosie and Odie.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother (aka G-Ma or Queen G) and treasured every moment with them all.

Donna was a beautiful, kind soul who touched the heart of everyone who met her. She had a contagious laugh and sense of humour that made everyone always feel warm, welcome, and at ease. She loved all animals, especially dogs and had many furbabies over her lifetime. Donna was a gifted artist, pianist, and seamstress and her creations fill every corner of her home with beautiful memories. She had a flair for fashion - no outfit was complete with her pearls and a splash of red. She was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest woman this world will ever know.

As Donna declined in health her family promised her that they would do whatever they could to keep her at home. And thanks to the care and compassion of her wonderful caregivers/angels Gloria, Sasi, Sasika, and Marites and world’s best neighbour Jackie we were able to keep that promise. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family and dogs.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes - Thornhill Chapel, on Friday, May 28th beginning at 11:00AM. Due to COVID restrictions, the in-person attendance will be limited. You are invited to participate by joining the livestreaming of the funeral service by using the following link:
