KOVACIC, Peter - Of Woodbridge Ontario, passed away on May 11, 2021 at the Etobicoke General Hospital, with family at his side.
Born in Jurovcak, Croatia on July 26th, 1936, son of the late Antun and Marija Kovacic.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marija (Mary), sons Dusan (Dan) and Peter, daughter in-law Sharon, grand daughters Sydney and Lauren, sisters Ana and Marija, sister in-law Angela, niece Zdenka and nephew Victor, sister-in-law Marija, nephews Stanko, Drago and Vlado.
He is predeceased by sisters Barbara, Katherine, Justina and brothers Frank, Ivan and Stephen.
Peter immigrated to Canada in 1959, and settled in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, where he met and married the love of his life Mary. Together they started a family, and moved to Toronto, ON, eventually retiring in Woodbridge, ON.
Peter was known for his generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness, and always being the first to offer help to family, friends and neighbours. He worked tirelessly with wife Mary, to build a loving, comfortable home.
Peter often shared his passions for dinners, folk music and a glass of wine, with family, friends and neighbours.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle, he will always be loved, missed and remembered.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the Lynett Funeral Home, Toronto ON. Service to be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal 739 Brown’s Line Toronto ON on Monday May 17, 2021 at 10am.
