Cox OliveCOX, Olive Mae (Bell) - 1931-2021 - Peacefully at Hill House Hospice Richmond Hill, Monday May 10, 2021 after a brief illness.

Predeceased by sisters Thora (Coleman) and Shirley (Johnston) and brothers Bill and Ken.

Cherished wife of 63 years of Meryl.

Loving mother to Andrew (Terri-Ann Witwicki)and Jennifer (Ian Gallichan).

Treasured grandmother of Rowan, Gavin, Dalton and Fiona.

Olive was born and raised on a farm in Leeds County Ontario.

She was the first in her family to graduate University from Queens in 1958. To be able to afford University she began teaching right out of high school and completed her University in the summer terms. She was teaching at the age of 18 years in a one room schoolhouse near her home in Mott’s Mills Ontario.

A teaching job took her to Sundridge, Ontario where she met Meryl. They were married and shortly thereafter moved to Richmond Hill where they have lived and raised a family.

Funeral service will be immediate family only due to COVID restrictions. The service of remembrance will be recorded and available for viewing at as of 2 P.M. Saturday May 15th, 2021.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hill House Hospital and MacKenzie Health Richmond Hill as well as all the friends and family who have cared for Mom and the family through this difficult time.
