GILES, Douglas John - After a battle with multiple illnesses, Doug passed away honourably and peacefully on May 10, 2021 at Lakeridge Hospital in Ajax, Ontario.
Sometimes you travel down the road of life looking down at that little piece of broken glass every day, not realizing you were looking at a diamond all along.
Douglas John Giles was that diamond to everyone he met.
He was humble and simple like that broken piece of glass but he turned everyone that interacted with him into a diamond.
He is survived by: Georgie (spouse), Charlene (daughter), John (son), Connie (step-daughter), Alman (step-son); his grandchildren, James (Stephanie), Melodie, Niklaus, and Victoria; his great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Grayson; his sisters, Barbara (Jerry), Kathie and Karen; and his nieces, Julie, Kristy, Barbara, Suzanne and Shelly.
At Doug’s request, a small, private viewing for family only will be held on Friday, May 14th at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home in Scarborough, Ontario.
