MARAPAS, Georgios - June 9, 1929 - June 3rd, 2021 - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Georgios Marapas, on June 3rd, 2021 at the age of 92.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, George is survived by his wife Vasiliki, his children Panagiotis and Antonia, and his grandchildren Vasiliki, Sophia, and Athina.
He is reunited with his mother Antonia in heaven.
Born in Sparta, Greece, George came to Canada in 1968, where he held various jobs before returning to his first trade as a shoemaker. He will be remembered as a sweet and gentle soul who was kind, generous, and possessed a never-ending patience.
George had a beautiful heart, abundant with love and wisdom, that he shared freely with all who knew him. He had a sly, mischievous sense of humour that kept us laughing through all these years together. We will cherish those memories always. He remains forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021. Please RSVP in advance for visitation with Bernardo Funeral Home.
