Moore CarmelMOORE, Carmel Teresa (nee Croke) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Carmel Teresa Moore (nee Croke) on Friday June 4, 2021 at the age of 85.

Predeceased by our Father, Robert Franklin Moore on Nov. 2, 2016, they enjoyed 62 years of marriage.

Born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland on October 6, 1935, the youngest of 11 children to Sarah Estelle and John Croke, Carmel moved with family members to Toronto when she was 17.

She soon met the love of her life and was married on May 29, 1954. Life soon became even busier with the births of three daughters, Judy, Barbara and Roberta.

Carmel was a very active member of her community. To many young girls, she was Brown Owl with the Armour Heights Brownie and Girl Guide groups. She also cheerfully donated her time as a volunteer at the Diabetic Clinics at North York General and Branson Hospitals.

Carmel was an active, popular and faithful member of The Saint Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic Church on Avenue Road. Well known for her superior knitting skills, her colourful, cozy afghans were very welcomed gifts and often donations to charities.

Carmel was a very proud Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother – she was G.G.!

We are very grateful for the excellent care our Mother received at the Chartwell Scarlett Heights Residence, the Humber River Hospital and The Palliative Unit at the Baycrest Centre.

Go with God and the Angels Mom, give Dad a big hug for us and know that you were very much loved by so many. Always in our hearts; Judy Baker, Bob Baker, Brittany Baker, Evan Baker, Lauren Baker, Ryder Baker, Paxton Baker; Barbara Gualtieri, Rocky Gualtieri, Bradley Gualtieri, Rheana Singh; Roberta Moore-Brown Steve Brown, Rikki-Lee Brown, Victoria Brown and Gail McLean.
