Clarke JoyceCLARKE, Joyce Vadney - Born in St. Ann, Jamaica on May 14, 1935, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Joyce left Jamaica in her early 20's to pursue a career as a nurse in England.

Not only did she begin her career there, but she also found her best friend, Ernest, who she took as her loving husband.

Joyce and Ernest spent 60 blissful years together, before the Lord took him home in 2016. Together, they have raised four amazing children, Janet, Sandra, Kevin and Jeff; who they cherished every day of their lives.

In 1965 Joyce, her husband Ernest, with their young family, pioneered their journey to Canada to provide their family with a better life. Joyce took up the profession of hair dressing, and became the resident hairdresser in the neighborhood. When she came to know the Lord, Joyce had an amazing platform to share the love of Jesus. From the day she gave her heart to the Lord, her focus was on living the scriptures each and every day of her life, in word and in deed. Over the last 45 years, Joyce has been faithful in serving the Lord together with her husband, in ministry.

Joyce will be sadly missed by her eldest daughter Janet, her second daughter Sandra, her eldest son Kevin, his wife Sandra, her youngest son Jeff, her grandchildren Richard, Ryan, Tristan (Skyler) & Alysia, and her great grandchildren, Etyana, Angelina and Kian, Kayde, and Kyro.

As she goes from this world to glory, we can hear the Lord greet her with these words, “WELL DONE, thou good and faithful servant”. Yes, well done!! Great is the art of a life beginning, but greater is the art of a life lived serving the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

On behalf of our mother, we would like to thank everyone for your support, prayers and encouragement over the past few months during mom’s illness. We are comforted knowing that she is now with our dad, and her granddaughter, Kristle, enjoying the golden streets of heaven with her Lord.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, visitation and service for Vadney will be private, and by invitation only.
