VALENTE, Joan Diane - Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Wednesday June 9, 2021, at the age of 77.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Carmine Valente, children Melanie (Mark) Kennedy and Mark (Brenna) Valente, grandchildren Abigail, Nolan, Sawyer, and Kyla.
Joan was born April 24, 1944, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the fourth child to Charles and Eugene Graham.
She was the youngest of three older brothers Fred (Joan) Graham, John (Joyce) Graham and Bob (Joan) Graham.
Joan then met the love of her life, Carmine Valente. They married in July 1969 and would raise two children together. They lived alongside Carmine’s brother Peter (Teresa) Valente for many years before moving to the farm in Brooklin.
Joan enjoyed reading, sewing, and quiet time. She was known for her amazing cooking and baked goods. She loved all her cats and dogs over the years.
