KYRIAKIS, Dimitrios - Passed away on June 10, 2021.
Born in 1946 in Palaia Epidaurus, Argolida, Greece to parents George and Georgia and the youngest of 8 siblings, Dimitrios (Taki to his siblings and Jimmy to everyone else) was a mischievous, happy child. At the young age of 14 he started working on ships, eventually going to the navy and then working on tankers until he moved to Canada in 1972.
He was a hard worker, working in Greek restaurants in Calgary and Toronto and his interests ranged from science, to history, and he loved westerns, old Greek Cinema and especially Star Trek.
He was loving, funny and someone who always tried to find the humor in every situation to lighten the mood and generally made everyone smile when he was around.
He leaves behind his wife (Efrosyni) of 34 years, 4 children (George, Vicky, Anna, Dimitri) 2 grandchildren (Jason and Georgia) and his beloved cat Achilles.
He will be greatly missed but never, ever forgotten. May he now rest in peace.
Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 followed by the service.
