HOBBS, Edna "Neola" (nee GRIFFEN)    -  April 9, 1927 – April 4, 2021

It is with sadness and loving memories that the family of Neola Hobbs announce her passing at Cedarbrook Retirement Home in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Ernest Hobbs (1976).

Loving mother of Susan (Paul) and Stephen (Nancy).

Cherished Nana of Nathan (Amanda), Aleshia (Zack), Matthew, Jennifer, David, and Samantha Great-Nana to Hunter, Leila, Henry, and Eddie (to join family any day now).

Predeceased by her parents Edna (nee Bland) and Jack Griffen.

Neola was also predeceased by her brother Thomas Griffen (Jeanne deceased), with whom she had a very close bond and missed terribly until her death. Auntie Nee to Lynne, Patti (with whom she shared many celebrations), Paul, Debbie, and Jackie.

Neola was an accomplished pianist, mastered the organ and strummed the guitar.

The children and grandchildren reaped the benefits of her poetry.

Mom was very sociable and had many friends until 2013.

There was a big place in her heart for all animals. Longtime supporter of Toronto Humane Society.

Due to current restrictions, a private family service has been held.
