CAPPUS, Bernice Eleanor (nee Herrington) - (June 25, 1921 - June 14, 2021) -
It is with great sadness that the family of Bernice (“Be”) Cappus announces her passing. Bernice passed away peacefully, in her 100th year, on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Woodhall Park Retirement Village in Brampton.
She was the best friend and loving wife of the late Ernie Cappus (1995).
Bernice will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Douglas Herrington (Vi, predeceased)), Dolores (“Mike”) Young (Norm, predeceased), Pauline Greenslade (Cec, predeceased), Joyce Marshall (Gord, predeceased), and Ron Herrington (Barbara). Predeceased by sister Geraldine (in infancy). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bernice volunteered for over 40 years at the Brampton Civic Hospital, and was an active member of the Grace United Church Women’s Group. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was an avid bowler, a crafter, and enjoyed camping and travelling with friends and family.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, a private family service will be held with Interment following at the Brampton Cemetery. Arrangements and livestream service details are entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Brampton chapel.
