Pilot RinaldoPILOT, Rinaldo - (1933 - 2021) - Born on February 14, 1933, in Cimpello, Pordenone, Italy, Rinaldo Pilot passed away after saying goodbye to his family on Wednesday June 16, 2021.

Rinaldo was an avid gardener and outdoorsman, a plasterer and an all-around craftsman. But, above all, Rinaldo was a man who worked tirelessly to support and care for his family, including during his “retirement.”

After arriving in Canada in 1949, he was employed as a tradesman capable of tackling any task, but his grandchildren will remember him as their Nonno with the book binding business where he worked alongside his wife for 20 years in an infinitely large warehouse endearingly named 'the shop.'

Rinaldo is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vincenza, as well as his daughters Joanne (Valerio) and Anna (Nick), and his five grandchildren: Mark (Julia), Alyssa, Daniel, Matthew and Julia. Rinaldo leaves his sister Giovanna (Domenico) and will be reunited with his younger brother Gianni (Rosemary).

Arrangements are entrusted with Ward Funeral Home, Woodbridge chapel. A funeral mass  will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Woodbridge, on Monday, June 21st at 11 a.m. RSVP required. Livestream details are available via the funeral home website.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shining Through Centre for Autism.
