Walsh MaekWALSH, Mark - On Father's Day, Sunday June 20, 2021, peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, especially his wonderful family.

Adoring husband to Sue, amazing father to Steven (and Rachel), Devora (and Naftoli), and beloved Zaidie to Yechiel Michel, Basya Malka, Yoelish, Chaya Royza, Eli, Aaron and Toby, and loving brother to Francine (and Danny), and uncle to their children.

He bravely fought cancer and transverse myelitis for the past eight months, and we are grateful to have had this special time to enjoy loving and meaningful conversations.

Mark grew up in Leeds, England, studied at the London School of Economics, and qualified as an accountant. He met the love of his life Sue and together they traveled to North America where he first got his MBA at the University of Chicago and then moved to Toronto.

He held senior financial positions at Exxon followed by a wonderful second career at CPA Canada.

He was devoted to community and Jewish causes, volunteering many hours for Jewish Family & Child Services, Circle of Care, United Way and Reena. He was a leader in the Autism community including roles as President at Kinark and Board Chair at Kerry's Place.

He was intelligent and thoughtful, with a good British sense of humour. He was a wonderful advocate for deep thinking and common sense, and always in a historical perspective. He was caring, kind and loving, and will be terribly missed.

Donations can be made to Jewish Family & Child Services or the Canadian Cancer Society.
