Cousineau CherieCOUSINEAU, Cherié Aileen Reece - On Saturday, June 19, 2021, Cherié Reece, loving wife, mom of two children, nana of one, passed away at age 61.

Cherié was the baby of the family, born on November 5, 1959, in St. George’s, Grenada, to Nigel Reece and Dorothy Spencer. She received her Confectionary Arts certificate from the Bonnie Gordon College in Toronto in 2015 and was about to embark upon opening her own bakery and cake decorating business when she returned home to Grenada later this year. She worked as an Executive Assistant for the Province of Ontario for 35 years.

On September 2, 1990, she married Marc Cousineau. She raised a son, Andrew and daughter, Erin and was helping to raise her grandson, Domenic.

Cherié had a passion for cooking and baking - though she once hated baking. She also loved gardening. She grew her favourite flowers - roses and lilies and was winning an ongoing battle with the local squirrels. Her cupcakes, cookies, holiday ham, black cake and so much more were enjoyed not only by friends and family, but also neighbours, colleagues and even strangers. She baked our birthday cakes, wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, Christmas cakes… she always showed her love with little acts of service like this.

She loved to bring happiness through food, and you tasted that love in every bite. She also was a talented singer and loved all kinds of music. Some of her favourites were Earth, Wind and Fire, James Taylor and Eve. She was known for her boisterous laugh, slick tongue, quick wit, and her generosity and creativity.

Cherié was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy, her father, Nigel and brother Douglas. She is survived by her husband Marc, children, Andrew and Erin, daughter-in-law Michelle, grandson Domenic, her brothers Richard and Roger, her sisters, Joan and Carolyn, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation arrangemnets are entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Weston Chapel.  Please RSVP with the funeral home for the visitation.

Respecting the current situationPand pandemic restrictions, the funeral service will be private. The family has provided the opportunity to view the LiveStream from the comfort of your own home from the funeral home website..
