Cormack ChristineCORMACK, Christine Mary - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Cormack. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the age of 70 at Michael Garron Hospital, with her husband and best friend Brian by her side.

Born in Bray, Ireland to parents James (Joe) and Mary Rawson, Christine immigrated to Canada in 1956 at the age of five with her parents and three sisters. In her youth, she won awards across Ontario and in the United States for Irish dancing.

During her 40-plus year career in the outpatient department of Michael Garron, Christine was a familiar, friendly face in the halls to the countless colleagues and patients she befriended.

Loving and proud mother of Michael (Michelle) and Breda (Shaun), and Granny to Owen and Rhys. She leaves behind her loving and dedicated husband of 46 years, Brian, siblings Kathleen, Maureen, Brona, Jim, Nuala and Sheelagh (predeceased).

She lived a life full of laughter, humour and a great appreciation for what’s most important in life: her friends and family. She was also known for her generosity and love of children.

Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel. Due to continued Covid restrictions, a private Catholic mass has been arranged for invited guests.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
