Pronidence JelaniPROVIDENCE, Jelani - 37, of Toronto died suddenly on July 21, 2021 from injuries sustained as a passenger in a local car accident. Family and loved ones are deeply saddened.

Jelani was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1983 to Bert and Marva Providence in Toronto. Jelani attended Pine Ridge Secondary School.

After graduating high school, Jelani moved to Ottawa to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Carleton University.

He worked in Ottawa for a while where he made some very close friendships. In 2012, he returned to his hometown of Toronto.

Jelani often spent time as a volunteer. 

Anyone who knew Jelani well, knows that he was a down to earth, humble, kind, loyal, gentle, easy going, supportive, caring soul.

Jelani is survived by his parents, Bert and Marva, his sisters Kandya and Kira, his nephews Jeremiah and Judah and his niece Jordynn, as well as many, many loving relatives in the Providence, Bobb, and Edwards families.

Jelani was fortunate to have nurtured many close friendships throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
