Korneluk AmyKORNELUK, Amy Celeste - (January 28, 1987 - July 26, 2021) - With broken hearts, the family of Amy Celeste Korneluk announces her passing on Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.

Amy fought a long and valiant battle against a very rare autoimmune disease that systematically attacked multiple organ systems and ravaged her body.

Amy was the cherished daughter of Frances Pougnet and Dennis Korneluk, dearly loved sister of Travis Korneluk, and special sister-in-law to Emily Cordeaux.

Amy also leaves behind to mourn her aunts and uncle and cousins, and so many friends along the way who touched her life immeasurably and supported her every step of the way in this journey. We will never forget your kindness and compassion over the past two years that she's been hospitalized.

Her courage and desperate fight to live in the face of this disease was incredible to witness, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her. We can only hope that she is now soaring through the clouds listening to her favourite tunes, finally released from the prison her body had become.

Lay down your weary head, release the pain and dread, my beloved daughter. Love you forever, Mom.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1st at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, Danforth Chapel. from 12:00 - 1:00 with a funeral service to follow. For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will be available virtually. Please see the LiveStream link on the funeral home's website.
