Dias JuneDIAS, June Carol - It is with heavy hearts that the family of June Carol Dias convey the passing of their beloved sister and aunt on July 26th, 2021 after her battle with stomach cancer.

June passed away peacefully at Trillium Hospital in the physical presence of her sister, Aida, but with the thoughts and prayers of her entire family.

June was greatly loved by her siblings, the late Robert (Ann); Allan (Winfred); Aida; Dan (Lynnette), and Xavier. She received great happiness from her nieces Iris; Natasha (Jeff) and nephew Archie (Kathleen).

Her greatest joy was experiencing the unconditional love and light from her great-niece Chloe and great-nephew Lincoln. Their laughter and enthusiasm kept her going especially in those days where things seem less then bright.

It brings the family great comfort knowing June joins her late parents Evangeline and Archibald and brother Bob in the warmth and love of God’s embrace.

June will always be remembered for her stubbornness… when she wasn’t using this super power to slam cupboards and doors she was using it to push through life’s challenges. It is this same stubbornness that made her match wits with her mother and gave Evangeline the care and love that every elderly parent should receive.

If stubbornness was her superpower then kindness was her hyperpower. June’s kindness was boundless and everyone she came in contact with were enveloped by her generosity. She was quick to volunteer her unwavering support (and often those of her siblings and especially where it involved cooking) in any activity that would help make things easier for strangers, neighbours, friends and family.

Our lives have been enriched by her presence and our family will not be the same without her.

The family would like to thank all our friends, family and her Air Canada family for their support, prayers and love over the past many months through June’s illness. It has sustained us and June during some difficult times. We are blessed to be part of a family and community that is so giving and nurturing.

Funeral and livestream service arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
