AMARAL, Idalina - Died at home in the company of her family in the early morning of Sunday August 1, 2021 at the age of 89.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Marcelino, and her daughters Maria de Fátima (husband, Stephen) and Lúcia.
She was the proud grandmother of Simon (Laura) and Marcel; she will be forever in their hearts.
She was predeceased by her parents Guilhermina and João Cabral de Melo, siblings Alexandrinho, Celestina, Noé, Conceição, Saúl and Miguel.
She is survived by her sister Maximina who resides in São Vicente, São Miguel, Açores.
Idalina led her life with conviction, deeply rooted in her faith and love for her family, friends and neighbours; she will be remembered for her generosity and her heart of gold.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Thursday August 5, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Fernando at St. Mary’s Church (130 Bathurst St.) on Friday August 6th at 10 am. Burial is to follow.
In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make a donation to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice in memory of Idalina Amaral.
