Woo BillWOO, Vee-Liam Woo Kwan 'Bill' - It is with profound sadness that the family of Bill Woo announces his passing away peacefully at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

He was known to his family as either Bill or William, and to his colleagues as Billy.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Camilia, his son Brian, his sister Brigitte, his brothers Daniel (Linda), Alex (Roseline), and Phillippe, brothers-in-law Gordon and Alex, sisters-in-law Winnie, Gerry and Alice, and his nieces and nephews.

He was a kind and gentle soul who had a great work ethic.

He made people feel good, whether you were his colleague or an IT support person on the phone.

Long time friends attributed their own success in life to Bill's unique talent as a leader and a mentor. Some have even said that they would not be nearly half the person they are without Bill's friendship and encouragement.

Bill was a huge Toronto Raptors fan and even got a Raptors t-shirt custom-made for himself that said “Raptors Rule” with the Raptors logo under it.

Bill made sure to make time for God every morning, whether it was reading a devotional or listening to Our Daily Bread.

His nurse at Sunnybrook mentioned that he was a kind and very nice man, and that is how Bill will be remembered.

We would like to thank the medical staff at Sunnybrook Cancer Centre and Scarborough Centenary Hospital for their help in looking after Bill during his health challenge.

The service will take place at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Friday, September 17th, 2021.

Memorial donations to Sunnybrook Cancer Centre or Scarborough Centenary Hospital in Bill's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family in lieu of flowers.
