HEWNER, Janina - January 14, 1922 – September 9, 2021
It is with great sadness the family of Janina Hewner announce her passing on September 9, 2021.
Janina was born on January 14, 1922 in Poland, and married her first husband Wladyslaw Koryczan (deceased 1944).
Janina began a new phase of her life in Canada in 1958, where she met and married Waclaw Hewner (deceased 1983).
Janina was the beloved mother of her two daughters Kristine (Salvatore "Sonny") and Elizabeth (Michael - deceased), and cherished grandmother of Lucas and Matthew.
Janina was affectionally known as "Babcia" to all family and friends, including her step- granddaughters and step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 please call to reserve a spot. Rosary will begin at 8:45 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church, 156 Roncesvalles Avenue, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m.
