FURTADO, Joao Mariano - Joao Mariano Furtado passed away peacefully at age 87 on September 15, 2021 with his family by his side.
John was born on November 21, 1933 in Sao Miguel, Acores. At age 21, he was the first of his family to arrive in Canada. With great courage he was able to bring his siblings and parents to Canada.
He leaves behind his Loving wife Isabel Furtado his son Vasco (Lynn), daughter Marinella (Tony), son Filipe (Maria) and his beloved grandchildren Alyssa, Johnny, Laura, Thomas, Daniel, Emily, Salina and great grandson Alexander.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
John lived a beautiful life full of joy, laughter, courage and love. He made an impact on the lives of everyone he met. He lived his life with faith and gratitude and lived every moment to its fullest. We will always be grateful for the years we were blessed to have with him.
May you rest in everlasting peace and love, our sweet father. We know you are flying in heaven with your beloved birds, and shining your light down on us.
His greatest gift to his family was his eternal love for them. He especially loved his grandchildren fiercel
