Wong YukWONG, Yuk Wah - Passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Our mom was born in Guangdong and grew up in Shanghai.

She moved to Hong Kong in her late teens. She was studying at a nursing school in the evening while working in a family medical clinic during the day.

After roughly ten years of being a clinical nurse, she sacrificed her career so that she could devote her time to her husband, and raise her three girls for about 20 years.

Our mom was a kind, determined, and independent woman who helped others beyond her limits.

Leading by example, she always believed and encouraged her children to keep reaching for their dreams by setting goals, working hard, and being content no matter what the circumstances are like. She always said, “Being content will lead to happiness and be happy even though you are poor.”

Our mom and dad moved to Canada in 1995 and she continued to live happily over the next 26 years surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Although she had a history of heart disease and developed dementia in her 80s, progressing slowly to an advanced stage, she continued to smile and live a carefree life until her passing.

Our mom is survived by her loving brother-in-law Yau Hang; three dearest daughters: Sally, Sandra, Selina; three amazing grandchildren: Adriane, Clarence, and Desiree – wife of Clarence.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephew: Stella, Susan, and Simon, as well as their spouses and children.

Mom, until we meet again, your cute little face, contagious smile and genuine character will always be missed and remembered in our heart. We love you forever!

Visitation and the service will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Saturday, September 25th, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Shepherd Village is much appreciated.
