Hauzar Anton TonyHAUZAR, Anton 'Tony' - Passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on September 15, 2021 at the age of 85.

Loving husband of Janina (Jean) for 56 wonderful years.

Proud father of Diane, Irene, and Kristina (David). Loving uncle to Ann (Ron), Peter (Jennifer), Michael (deceased 2014), and many nieces and nephews in Slovenia and Poland. Brother-in-law to Irene and Walter Kic.

He will be fondly remembered by many family and friends.

Anton (Tony) was born in Gerlinci, Slovenia in 1936, and immigrated to Canada in his 20s to build a better life. Tony met the love of his life Janina in Toronto and were married in 1965. Tony worked as a plumber and helped build many of the industrial properties throughout Toronto. He was known in the neighbourhood as the go-to guy to fix any plumbing issues neighbours had in their homes.

Tony cherished his friends and considered them as his family. He famously held epic bar-b-que parties in the summer. Tony worked very hard for his family, and always considered his daughters to be his proudest achievement.

Tony’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors in Ward 4B at Trillium, for the kindness and comfort they gave Tony in his final weeks. In addition, the family thanks the staff at Eatonville Care Centre for taking care of Tony for the last 3 years.

Arrangements entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Weston Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to consider donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
