Brown Elizabeth BettyBROWN, Elizabeth Mary 'Betty' - It's with great sadness the family of Elizabeth (Betty) Brown announces her passing after a valiant fight at the Michael Garron Hospital in East York, ON. on September 19, 2021.

Betty was a force to be reckoned with and a joy to all who knew her. Her family, (especially her nieces and nephews), were her world.

Betty was born and raised in Toronto and was a diehard Torontonian. She attended Earl Grey Elementary school then Eastern Commerce school. Work experience included Bell, CBC and Denlow school. The work at Denlow school brought her tremendous joy and she had such a special way with all the children in her life.

Betty had many friends who she touched over the years. Betty had a zest for life, a sense of humuor and travelled the world. Always up for an adventure she's been to zoos, Horse races, CNE, National Ballet and even danced with characters in a show at Wonderland.

Betty was predeceased by her loving mum and dad Kathleen (Kay) and John Brown, her younger brother Arthur (Bud) Brown, and her nephew Glenn Armstrong.

Many happy memories are shared by her surviving family - Margaret Armstrong (sister), Marg Brown (sister in law), nephews Douglas (Jeanne) Brown their 4 children, Jeffery Brown (Suzi Dimblad) Brown, Leslie (Kevin) Groth their 3 children, Heather(Chad) Klamer their 2 children, Lily Brown, Glenn Armstrong's 3 children, Ann Armstrong 3 children as well as Betty's cousin Louise Klassen (Peter) 3 children and Peter Hickling.

Thank you to all the ICU staff at Michael Garron Hospital and a special thank you to Marg Brown for being by Betty's side throughout her last few weeks and as she passed. It's important to all her friends and family around the world to know she was not alone.

Arrangements are entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel. As per her wishes there'll be no funeral. Cremation then burial with her mum and dad at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
