RUGGIERO, Caterina - At 98, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021 at her residence at Villa Forum.

She was the beloved mother of Lena Vincelli and Donato (Tiiu) Ruggiero.

She was born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy and emigrated to Canada in 1953 with her husband and children.

She was predeceased by her huband, Giuseppe and her siblings: Nicola (Concetta) Rinaldi, Antonio (Rosa,at Villa Forum) Rinaldi, Maria (Donato) Romano.

She is the cherished grandmother of Chris Ruggiero, John, Joseph, David Vincelli and Angela (Knut) Koster.

Adored by her great grandchildren, Alexa and Milana Vincelli, Rachel and Ashley Vincelli, Lauren Ruggiero, Kaden Koster and Daniel and Leila Vincelli.

She was the ultimate matriarch. She enjoyed having family close by. Her joy was to host Sunday feasts with family around, enjoying the food and each others company. Family was everything to her. She was a kind and generous person who truly enjoyed sharing the bounty of her garden with family and neighbours.

Anyone who met her liked her immediately with her smiling face and brilliant blue eyes. She was very friendly and it was clearly evident that she cared about people. Her passing has left a big hole in all of our hearts and will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at Hogle Funeral Home, Toronto on Wednesday September 29, 2021. the service will take place at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 61 Jutland Rd, Etobicoke on Thursday September 30, 2021 at 10:00am.
