Vukosavljevic PeterVUKOSAVLJEVIC, Peter   - It is with immense sadness to announce the passing of Peter on September 22, 2021.

He was at home and happily surrounded by his family when he passed.

Peter was born in Belgrade, Serbia on March 6, 1929 to parents Alexander and Mara.

He left his family at the age of 21 to come to Canada where he met his wife of 59 years, Olga (predeceased 2014).

Through both difficult times as well as good times Peter enjoyed his life with family being his number one priority.

Peter's sense of humour was always on point, ready to make us laugh up until his last hours.

Peter had a special presence felt by all who met him. He even earned a great big hug from a taxi driver assisting him out of his cab!

A man with the biggest heart and belly laugh that will be missed dearly by all those fortunate enough to know him.

Dearly loved by his son Alex and daughter-in-law Lynn, daughter Helene, grandchildren, Jim, Peter (Katie), Mara (Dylan), Nicole, Peter, great-grandson, Aristotelis, and beloved puppies, Wilson, Blue, Red, and Echo. His family in Serbia: niece Nina, nephew Predrag, great-nephew Alexander (Jelena) and great-niece Anastasia.

A special thanks to the amazing staff at UHN, and in particular the team at the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care. And a very special thanks to Dr. E. Schwartz and Dr. S. Alibhai.

A private burial will take place at Thornton Cemetery today. A celebration of life will take place in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care or Mount Sinai Hospital.
