Badeslo PhyllisBADESKI, Phyllis Ann   -  April 18, 1932 - September 22, 2021

Phyllis Ann Badeski passed away peacefully with family by her side at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on September 22, 2021, at age 89.

Phyllis is survived by nephew Paul Badeski (Cathy) and their children Michael, Laura and Andrew; her niece Claire Badeski; her niece Ellen Ross (Mark) and their children Sarah and Matthew; her nephew Peter (Kathlene) and their children Jesse and Sarah.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Jules and Ann Badeski, and her brothers Raymond (Audrey) and Gerald (Geraldine).

Born in Timmins, Ontario on April 18, 1932, Phyllis moved to Toronto and in 1953 began a 40 year career at Upper Lakes Shipping where she rose to the position of Director of Personnel.

Phyllis was strong, independent, caring, and a positive person of great faith.

For the past five years she lived at The Dunfield Retirement Residence where she would often share her sense of humour with staff and other residents.

The family would like to thank the Dunfield staff for their wonderful care and support. The family would also like to thank the team at the Nephrology unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, the doctors, nurses and staff on D4 wing at Sunnybrook Hospital, and her PSW companions for their care and compassion.

There will be a visitation at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, Thornhill on Friday, October 1st from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Monica's Roman Catholic Church at 44 Broadway, Toronto on Saturday, October 2nd at 12:30 p.m., followed by a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Phyllis' memory to the Sunnybrook Foundation.
