LEONARD, Edward Charles Jr., - Passed away peacefully, on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 85.
Edward was born in York Township on March 3, 1936, a loving son of the late Edward Charles Leonard Sr. and the former Emily Beck.
Cherished and devoted husband of Beverley Leonard (Semple) whom he married on February 3, 1957.
Loving father of Clint Leonard and wife Debbie, Sue Leonard, proud grandfather of; Doug (Linda), Kelly (Jason), Brooke, Justin (Becky), Desirae and great-grandfather to 5 great-grandchildren.
Edward is survived by 3 sisters, 3 brothers, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Ed worked for 33 years as a heavy equipment operator for Town of Weston and City of York, before enjoying his retirement at age 53.
Ed was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed woodworking and making gifts for family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg, on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Those wishing to attend must register.
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the Children's Wish Foundation or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
