KARAIM, Anthony Maurice – (February 24, 1939 - October 9, 2021) - After a short battle with pneumonia and cancer, Anthony Karaim passed away peacefully with family at his side. Now joining his beloved wife Marie, of 52 years.
Born in Ethelbert, Manitoba, Anthony eventually settled in the Greater Toronto area, where he met Marie in 1962, and family quickly followed. Beloved father to Steven, and Susan, father in law to Frances, and Grandfather to Kyle, Connor, Amanda and Tyler.
Predeceased by his brothers Steve, John and Mitch, and sister Sophie, and survived by his brother Peter.
A proud Ford employee and retiree of 57 years, Anthony enjoyed time with family, travel, being on or near the water, making his own wine and the occasional good cigar. Proudly conquered the climb at Diamond Head, Hawaii in his 79th year, Anthony was always ready to discuss the news of the day while sharing a laugh about life.
He has been a very special part of the lives of so many family and friends. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
