DEEG, Elly Marie - Elly Marie Deeg (nee van Zonneveld), passed away peacefully, with her husband Hans by her side, at Faith Manor (Holland Christian Homes) in Brampton, on October 13, 2021, just before her 97th birthday on October 25th.
Elly is being mourned and will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 73 years, Hans; by her sons Frank (Kathy) in Ottawa, and Bart (Margaret) in Edmonton; by her granddaughter Christina (Lee) and great-granddaughters Elly and Daisy also in Edmonton; and by her grandson Philip in Germany.
Elly was predeceased by her parents, Frits and Jet van Zonneveld, and brother Rob van Zonneveld, all in the Netherlands.
She leaves behind family in Holland, and many cherished friends in the greater Toronto area.
The family wishes to thank the compassionate and dedicated care given to Elly by the nurses and PSW's of Hope Tower and Faith Manor at Holland Christian Homes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elly's memory can be made to Holland Christian Homes or to a charity of your choice.
