Duggan GraceDUGGAN, Grace - (1925 - 2021) - Our darling mother was reunited with her beloved husband Gerry, on Sunday October 17, 2021.

Loving mother of Gráinne (Brian Lasby), Margaret Jones, Maureen (Mick Brown) and David (Karen).

Proud grandmother of Conor, Megan (Marcus Beach), Austin (Stephanie), Ian, Colin (Kerrigan), Kyle and Megan and great-grandmother of Nolan and Norah.

Very fondly remembered by Bob Jones.

Nothing gave Grace more pleasure than her family. She was a doting mom and grandmother. She adored her children’s spouses. When it came to family, nothing was ever too much trouble. She would drop everything to help out on any occasion. She was wise, kind and always fun to be around.

Grace and Gerry relocated to Mississauga, Ontario from Dublin, Ireland in 1960 with their 3 daughters. The birth of their son Dave a few years later completed the family. Almost immediately upon arrival, they met and were welcomed into a well-established group of close friends in Port Credit who affectionately renamed themselves the Port Credit Fun Club. It was a group that became their substitute family in Canada. Mom loved them all and forged close relationships with them - as well as with their families. She continued to keep in touch with many of their children when any of the members died.

Mom was an exceptionally social person. She loved to meet people and was genuinely interested in them. Friendships were extremely important. She made and kept friends close all throughout her almost 96 years.

A private family funeral mass will be held. Arrangements are entrusted with Skinner and Middlebrook funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to McMaster Children's Hospital c/o Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation (hamiltonhealth.ca) would be greatly appreciated.

We hope to be able to celebrate Grace’s life at an appropriate time in the future.
