CLEGG, Doris Harriet - (November 26, 1926 - October 20, 2021) -

Doris Harriet Clegg was born on November 26, 1926 to Robert and Mary Evans. Sadly she was the last child to pass away out of her family. She was a sister to John Evans, Albert Evans, Mary Tomlinson, George Evans, Milly Walters, and Gordon Evans.

She will be dearly missed by her son George Knowler and his three children Chris Knowler, Dave Knowler and Chantal Spears.

Doris was lucky and fortunate to get to know all of her eight great children while living her long happy life.

Doris passed away peacefully of natural causes the morning of October 20th, 2021 at Hospice Georgian Triangle (Campbell House) in Collingwood.

She lived most of her adult life in North York, Toronto where she enjoyed taking trips, shopping and seeing concerts. Growing up in her younger years she went to Humber Heights School and belonged to the Gun club with her father and grandfather. She was a third-generation excellent marksman who won trophies and plaques in her younger years.

Doris was a hard worker all of her life and sometimes had two to three jobs at a time. She worked at Bic Pen, General Mills, Capitol Records to name a few of her places of work.

Doris will be placed to rest beside her late husband Lawrence Clegg at Riverside Cemetery, Royal York Rd., Etobicoke. Arrangements are entrusted with Ward funeral homes.
